Biography
Christoffer Skovhus is a drummer and composer living in Aarhus, Denmark.
He graduated his Nordic Master of Jazz in 2024, having studied at The Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, The Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus.
With a background playing funk and grooves and having fallen in love with jazz during his time at music schools, he is now playing in various settings within Folk, Pop, Jazz and groove music.
Christoffer is the composer and frontman of his project Woodhouse that plays music inspired by jazz, hip-hop, R&B and neo-soul. The band won the Jazz6000 Audience Award in 2021.
Through his education at 4 different schools he has studied under the names of Jussi Lethonen, Martin Andersen, Anders Mogensen, Bengt Stark and received lessons from Joe Farnsworth, Bob Gullotti, Henry Cole and Tim Hagans.
